  For Tamara Dukes, the best part of being a family nurse practitioner is helping patients make positive changes in their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. “Nursing is not a job for me, it is a calling on my life to serve others with love, empathy, and commitment,” she says. Trust is important to her when establishing relationships with patients. She loves advocating for her patients and treating them with compassion, understanding, and availability. “I listen. I talk to them and not at them. I respect them and their autonomy,” she says. Tamara Dukes is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing degree. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, visiting the beach, camping, traveling, and hiking.

  Mukesh Agarwal

  Growing up, Dr. Mukesh Agarwal watched his father care for patients, which inspired him to pursue a career in healthcare. He explains that he is “joining ChenMed to continue to fulfill his passion of helping and caring for people.” His favorite part of being a physician is listening to patients and helping them achieve better health. Dr. Argarwal strives to always “treat them with respect and dignity.” He encourages his patients to be honest about their needs and wants to “help them understand their questions about health.” He adds, “The doctor is your friend and guide.” When Dr. Agarwal is not caring for patients, he loves spending quality time with his family. He also likes traveling and collects both stamps and coins.

  Meloudi Sartipi

  MD

  As a physician, Dr. Meloudi Sartipi is “passionate about teaching and shared decision-making.” She explains, “I am here to teach you about your medical conditions and give you the tools you need to make the best decision for yourself.” She loves building meaningful connections and trusting relationships with her patients. “I always explain what I am doing and why, so they understand,” she says. She wants her patients to feel heard. She finds it especially rewarding to care for the growing senior population. “I learn a lot from my patients,” she says. In her free time, Dr. Sartipi can be found enjoying the outdoors through hiking, kayaking, and scuba diving. She also enjoys painting, reading, and salsa dancing.

  Marlon Argueta

  MD

  Dr. Marlon Argueta vowed to dedicate his life to helping sick people after losing his mother to cancer. He is passionate about caring for the senior population and loves the opportunity to “educate patients about their diseases.” He explains, “Education is the key. If they know about their disease and medications, it’s easier for them to understand and follow our recommendations.” He wants his patients to feel like they are equals and always “treats them with respect.” To keep up with the latest medical advancements, he often reads and listens to podcasts. Dr. Argueta enjoys hiking and connecting with nature in his spare time. He also likes playing video games, which he says has helped him with “fine touch and navigation” skills.

  Tyrone Daniels

  MD, FACC

  Dr. Tyrone Daniels always knew he wanted to work in healthcare. “Getting to know my patients personally and working to improve their lives has always been an important part of my calling to this profession. There is no greater need than to work to improve the lives of our elders and this is what I strive to accomplish,” he says. He greatly enjoys learning from seniors. “The only way to create a strong bond is getting to know your patients on a deep, personal level to help develop trust and respect,” he explains. He adds that he is empathetic, compassionate, and will always have his patients’ “best interests at heart.” Dr. Daniels loves spending time with family and watching movies in his down time. He is also a target shooter.
