Description
Ruqin Chen, M.D., M.B. is a medical oncologist who specializes in genitourinary cancer and melanoma, with special interest in targeted therapy and immunotherapy. Her clinical focus includes expertise in management of solid tumor malignancy such as prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, and melanoma; complex coordination of care for patients through multidisciplinary approach; providing comprehensive patient-centered care; promoting patient education especially personalized chemotherapy education to guide patients through their journey; and fostering patients' understanding of their condition and engaging them to become partners in managing their health. In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. Chen is active in research, specifically in investigating predictive and prognostic factors including genomic profiles to provide personalized treatments for patients. She also has a strong interest in education to foster the next generation of healthcare providers. Dr. Chen is a member of Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center.
