    Pilates Instructor

    Diane Powers was born in Chicago and started her family there, but various circumstances took her small family to Canada. She became the Canadian National Sales Manager for Eden Organic Foods, which brought her to Ponte Vedra Beach 13 years ago. Loving and living the “alternative” lifestyle and fitness weight training, Diane was devastated to find herself facing 3 surgeries back to back, which resulted in her being bound to the couch. These life events led her to Pilates. Pilates had been in the recesses of her mind and to her surprise, she knew she had found a long lost passion her very first time on a reformer. Diane became certified on the Mat and Reformer through The APilates Method and began apprentice teaching in April 2013. Diane has continued to follow her passion for teaching since 2014.     Pattie Techera has an extensive background in Pilates. She holds certifications for Pilates Mat, all Apparatus through PHI Pilates and she is a Pilates Method Alliance Certified Pilates Teacher (PMA CPT) and Master Pilates trainer. She received her kickboxing certification in 2000, Yoga training from India in 2005, and TRX training in 2010. She is well versed in several Mixed Martial Arts styles including Cardio Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Capoeira. Pattie used to weigh 225 lbs and lost 80 lbs and understands how hard it is to reach your fitness goals. This is where her genuine compassion as a trainer lies most and she can truly empathize with her clients. Because of this, her clients see her as a major inspiration and motivator. Pattie discovered Pilates because of a foot injury during Martial Arts class where she broke 4 of her toes. While her foot healed, she started Pilates Mat classes at home with Winsor Pilates. When she saw the changes in her body, she was hooked and she was convinced that she had to start teaching. She used to only teach kickboxing and did a lot of cardio intense workouts, such as boot camps, weight training and cycling because she thought that was the only way to keep the weight off and build muscle. But because of her major weight loss, she still had loose skin, no matter how much cardio or weight lifting she did. After she saw how Pilates helped her to restructure her physique and make her leaner, slimmer and stronger, she knew that she had to dedicate her entire fitness career to the Pilates Method. Pattie is a strong believer that Pilates is for everybody! She is able to work with all levels, no matter what age, size, physical limitations or athletic ability. She works with a variety of clients from teens to elders as well as clients with hip, knee, shoulder and back conditions and post/pre natal. She can tailor the workout to your specific needs and offers her own contemporary, creative and innovative style to help you achieve

    Jose comes from a military background. He is an avid runner, experienced Muay Thai fighter and Spartan Racer! His new journey in Pilates has drastically changed his flexibility which has helped him become an overall better athlete! He has also seen changes in his posture and lean muscle mass! He can’t wait to share his new found love for Pilates with his students!
